Daystar University staff engage in  internal audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.

Friday May 9, 2025 marked the end of internal ISO quality audit exercise which was undertaken in different departments of the University.

The one-month exercise which began in April was conducted by certified ISO champions, drawn from different departments within the University. The 43 champions had been trained on ISO certification process for the last two years.

Speaking to Infospot, the Planning Officer, Ms. Ruth Mulwa said the aim of the internal audits was to enable departments to identify gaps and correct them in preparation for the external ISO audit. She noted that the internal audit exercise will ensure that departments are in conformity with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard.

Ms. Mulwa observed that the audit exercise was also an opportunity to continuously improve on quality delivery of services to our customers.

The departments audited included Finance, Corporate Affairs, Human Resource, Admissions and Records, University Services, ICT, Chaplaincy, Quality Assurance, Security, Library, ODEL, Procurement, Student Affairs, and Legal department.
